Everything you need to know about ordering custom printed apparel from Quik T's.
Ordering & Minimums
Minimums vary by print method: Screen Printing requires 12 pieces minimum. DTG (Direct-to-Garment) has no minimum — order as few as 1. DTF Transfers also have no minimum. Embroidery requires a 6-piece minimum. For custom packaging add-ons, there's no separate minimum beyond your shirt order.
Yes! We strongly encourage it. You can place a single-unit DTG or DTF order as a pre-production sample. For screen print, a press proof can be arranged for an additional fee of $35, applied as a credit toward your bulk order if you proceed within 30 days.
Absolutely. You can mix sizes freely within an order — just enter your size breakdown on the order form. Mixing shirt colors within the same design counts as a color change for screen printing and may affect setup costs. DTG and DTF handle color mixing seamlessly.
Once your order is submitted, you'll receive a confirmation email with your order number. Our art department will review your artwork within 2 business hours and send a digital proof for your approval. Production begins only after you approve the proof. You can track every stage — Artwork Review → Printing → Quality Check → Shipped — in your account dashboard.
Changes and cancellations are accepted within 2 business hours of order placement, before artwork review begins. Once production starts, we cannot accept changes to design, quantity, or garment selection. Contact us immediately at hello@quikts.com or (800) 784-5887 if you need to make a change.
Artwork & Files
We prefer vector files: AI (Adobe Illustrator), EPS, SVG, or PDF with text outlined. For DTG and DTF, high-resolution raster files are also accepted: PNG with transparent background at 300 DPI minimum, or PSD. JPEG is accepted for DTG full-color prints but not recommended for screen printing or embroidery.
Yes! Our in-house design team can create or refine artwork for your order. Design services start at $45/hour, with most simple logo clean-ups taking under 1 hour. Complex original designs are quoted per project. Contact us with your concept and we'll provide an estimate.
We can work with it for DTG printing if the resolution is high enough (300+ DPI at print size). For screen printing or embroidery, we'll need to convert it to vector format first — we can do this for $35 and will send you the vector files afterward. It's a worthwhile investment that you'll use forever.
Always. Every order receives a digital proof via email and through your account dashboard before we begin production. The proof shows placement, size, and color representation. We don't print a single shirt without your written approval.
Print Methods
Screen printing uses physical ink pushed through a mesh screen — it's ideal for bold, solid designs in 1–6 colors, large quantities (12+), and achieves the most durable print. DTG (Direct-to-Garment) is essentially a high-quality inkjet printer for fabric — it handles unlimited colors, gradients, and photos with no setup fee. DTG is best for small runs, complex artwork, and on-demand printing. Not sure which is right for you? Our quote calculator recommends the most cost-effective method based on your specs.
All our prints are production quality and designed to last. For best results: turn inside out, wash cold, tumble dry low, do not iron directly on print. Screen prints typically last the life of the garment. DTG prints maintain quality for 50+ washes when care instructions are followed. DTF and sublimation have excellent wash durability. Embroidery is essentially permanent.
Yes. For screen printing on dark garments, we use an underbase white layer — this adds one color to your print count. For DTG on dark garments, we apply a white ink pretreatment before printing; this works best on 100% cotton. DTF transfers work great on all colors with no additional cost. Sublimation only works on white or light-colored polyester fabrics.
DTF (Direct-to-Film) prints your design onto a special film, then heat-presses it onto any fabric. Unlike DTG, DTF works on any material — polyester, nylon, blends, and even hats. It also works on dark fabrics without a pretreatment step. DTF is increasingly popular for its versatility and vibrant colors. The feel is slightly thicker than DTG but very durable.
Turnaround & Rush Orders
Standard turnaround is 7–10 business days from artwork approval. This does not include shipping time. Rush options are available: Rush (3–5 days): +35% cost and Super Rush (48 hours): +65% cost. Turnaround clock starts after art approval, not order placement.
We stand behind our rush commitments. If we miss a rush deadline due to our production error, we'll refund the rush fee. That said, rush availability is limited — confirm availability with us before placing a rush order for time-critical events.
The clock starts the business day after you approve your digital proof. If you approve your proof at 9am Monday, production begins Monday and your standard 7-day window ends the following Tuesday. Orders placed without complete artwork or with artwork that requires revisions may be delayed until art approval is received.
Garments & Sizing
We carry garments across three tiers: Value (Gildan, Port & Company), Premium (Bella+Canvas, Next Level, Comfort Colors, Lane Seven), and Luxury (AS Colour, Stanley/Stella, American Apparel). We also carry outerwear, headwear, and activewear. See the full Brands page for specs and pricing.
Yes — each brand on our Brands page links to the manufacturer's official size chart. When in doubt, order a sample before committing to a bulk order. Sizing varies significantly between brands (e.g., Bella+Canvas runs slimmer than Gildan).
Yes, we accept customer-supplied garments (CSG). We charge a $0.50/garment handling fee for CSG orders. We're not responsible for defects in customer-supplied garments or misprints on poorly prepared blanks. Garments must be unwashed and free of defects. Contact us before shipping your blanks.
Custom Packaging & Labeling
We offer four packaging tiers: Poly Bag (+$0.35/unit), Hang Tag (+$0.60/unit), Custom Inside Neck Label (+$1.25/unit, replaces manufacturer label), and Full Retail Package (+$2.00/unit, includes poly bag + hang tag + inside label). These transform your order into retail-ready product.
Yes — this is called private label / neck label replacement. We remove the manufacturer's sewn-in label and heat-press or sew in a custom woven or printed label with your brand name, size, care instructions, and any other info you need. This is included in the Custom Inside Neck Label option at $1.25/unit.
You supply the design artwork, we handle production. If you need hang tag or label design services, our design team can create them for $45/hour. We'll provide templates sized to your chosen packaging option to make the process easy.

Screen printing has a $25 setup fee per design (not per color). Embroidery has a $45 digitizing fee (one-time, waived on reorders). Sublimation has a $15 setup fee. DTG and DTF have no setup fees. Setup fees are included in the quote calculator estimates.
Your Account
No — you can place an order as a guest. However, creating a free account lets you track orders in real time, save shipping addresses, view order history, reorder previous designs, and store artwork files. We recommend registering for the best experience.
Log into your account dashboard and navigate to the Orders tab. You'll see real-time production status: Order Placed → Artwork Review → Printing → Quality Check → Shipped → Delivered. When your order ships, a tracking number is emailed to you and appears in your dashboard.
In your account's Order History, click any completed order and select "Reorder." Your previous design, garment selection, and preferences will be pre-populated. You can adjust quantity, sizes, or any other specs before resubmitting. Reorders for screen print jobs waive the setup fee.
